Why is regular transmission service important?

BMW automatic transmissions are complex systems requiring special fluids and precise maintenance. Neglected transmissions can lead to expensive repairs, while regular service ensures long-term trouble-free operation and smooth shifting.

General recommendation: For BMW models, transmission oil and filter change is recommended every 60-80,000 km, while for BMW M, Mercedes-AMG, and Audi RS models, due to more intensive use, 40,000 km is the recommended interval.

Timing Chain Replacement / Major Service Chain Bearings

The timing system of BMW engines plays a critical role in proper engine operation. The timing chain, tensioners, and bearings wear over time, which can cause serious engine damage if not replaced in time.

Our Services:

  • Complete replacement of timing chain and tensioners – replacement of timing chains, tensioners, guide rails, cartridges, bolts, and seals
  • Replacement of connecting rod and crankshaft bearings, as well as bolts
  • Precise timing adjustment with factory special tools
  • Oil pump inspection, replacement if necessary
  • Engine refill with fresh oil
  • Test drive and diagnostics of the work performed

When is timing chain replacement necessary?

For BMW engines, timing chain replacement is generally recommended after 80,000-120,000 km. Specifically: For M and B engine code models, replacement is recommended after 150-200,000 km depending on operating load and usage. Early signs include rattling noise at startup, uneven engine running, or loss of performance.

We document everything with photos and invoices, so the work performed and parts used can be transparently tracked.
